Gaia Online-Competition for closed Beta testing

Gaia online, which has been in heavy development since 2007, is due for close beta testing in the summer of this year. The company has released a press statement saying that all of those attending the New York Comic-Con event this year in April will be given the chance to win access to the closed beta testing

Craig Sherman, the CEO of gaia gold said that “The idea for our casual MMO came from our five million active members. In our community forums, they asked for a new way to play games and interact with their friends. The MMO is our answer to their request, and our community is the perfect platform for this type of game.”

The game will not require a download and will be browser based. The players will keep the current gaia gold features such as playing mini-games, socialising and forums as well as being able to do quests, fight monsters and customise their avatars.

With in the statement they said that “Gaians - the member community of gaia gold- and visitors to Comic-Con, are encouraged to attend the convention and stop by Gaia Online’s booth for a chance to win a ticket to the closed beta. The golden ticket contest will allow those lucky few the first chance to experience the MMO. More great prizes will be given away at the booth as well, such as GaiaCards, special promotional cards that carry various amounts of the currency used in gaia .”

Since their foundation back in 2003, gaia is now the leading socialising and hangout facility on the internet. They have enjoyed massive success with earlier adventures and it seems that the buzz around their impending release of the MMO will cause it to become a major success and selling point for their services.
