Mother earth as Gaia is a Greek representation of Goddess Earth. Gaia, more frequently spelled as Ge
was the connotation to earth. Gaia is the great Greek earth mother. There are two versions of her
creation in Greek mythology. In both the versions she emerges from chaos through a parthenogenic
birth. Gaia was then populated with the necessary Mountains, Seas, flora and fauna. She was the
primordial element from which sprang everything that lives: gods, mortals, fruits, grains, flowers,
creatures of earth, air and sea, and the starry heavens above. Everything that lives is of her, and to her
it shall return at death.
Mother earth as Gaia: Creation of the universe
Mother earth as gaia gold is also attributed with the creation of universe. Therefore we can see that the
origin and creation of nature and universe is through the feminine principle as portrayed in the Greek
mythology. She was considered to be the first and last, and everything in between. She was attributed
with deep Earth wisdom, and the gift of prophesy. Gaia is believed by some sources to be the original
deity behind the Oracle at Delphi. She passed her powers on to others latter on.
Mother earth as Gaia: The first mother
She is the first mother and her children included the powerful Gods, the Titans, the Giants, the
Erinyes and the Nymphs. She strove to protect and nurture them all. No child was unlovely in her
eyes. The later part of the Greek mythology says that her power of fertility was usurped by the
patriarchy created by her own son Zeus and thereafter gaia gold stopped, for the most part, involving
herself in the lives of her children.
